Ken Turkel has been an attorney since 1990, and has developed a wide ranged practice which is focused on complex business litigation and general civil litigation. Mr. Turkel has also developed a successful practice in the area of sports and entertainment law, representing athletes, screenwriters, and film companies.
In his sports and entertainment practice Ken has had the privilege of managing athletes in their marketing and endorsement ventures, and has negotiated deals at various levels with ESPN, Under Armour, Nike, Puma, Adidas, Wilson and Louisville Slugger, among others. He has extensive experience in athlete marketing, and in drafting and reviewing marketing, sponsorship and endorsement contracts. Ken has worked with numerous athletes, ranging from Olympic sports to tennis and golf professionals, and has spoken at seminars on the topic of “Negotiating and Drafting the Athlete Endorsement Agreement”.
A native of Tampa, Florida, Mr. Turkel is a member of the Sports Lawyers Association and is also on the Board of Directors of the Hillsborough County Bar Association He also attended Jesuit High School, and received his bachelor’s degree from Tulane University, and his law degree from Stetson University. In 2000, Ken received the Hillsborough County Bar Association’s Outstanding Young Lawyer award. He is an MLB Certified Player agent and a State of Florida Licensed Athlete Agent.
